It’s been a while…

In case you wonder whatever happened to Fall of Nosgoth. It’s canceled and the reason why is simple. I’ve made the decision that I will only develope games if I can earn money with it, so that ideally I can work full-time developing games. And with Fall of Nosgoth I could have never done it. Because I do not own any rights of the Legacy of Kain franchise and the one’s who do surely have no interest in working with me together (who am I anyway?) :)
But even if I would release the completed game for free, there’s no guarantee that Square-Enix would not sue me or threaten to do it if I don’t pull back the game. And they have every right to do so.
So…being a game developer is tough and I just didn’t wanna waste more time walking the wrong way.

I have gained a lot of experience while developing Fall of Nosgoth and there are still many materials to work with on my computer. I’ve spent the last weeks developing a new idea and I think I like it. It might be something I could start over with. But we’ll see…

PS: It has nothing to do with the topic but, I just played SR1 again after 15 years…How could the game in my memories be so different than what I’ve just played? That game is so 90’s. It feels so empty, complicated and unfinished. I even wanted to quit playing, because of the absurd ‘trial and error jumping passages’, but I managed to play through the game. If they ever remake the game, it has to be much more than a HD port, that’s for sure. But still…it’s the game that made me fall in love with the franchise and brought me here to write all of this.
Destiny is a game, is it not?
